Dismantling older wind turbines

At Momentum Energy Services A/S, it is part of our DNA to ensure that wind turbines produce green power for as many years as possible through thorough service and maintenance. We specialize in extending the lifetime of turbines by up to 40 years – far longer than originally predicted when the turbine adventure started in Denmark. But when a turbine’s time is over and it is no longer economically or safely viable to continue operation, we provide environmentally responsible dismantling.

Our dismantling concept focuses on reusing all parts of the turbine or disposing of them in an environmentally friendly way in collaboration with reputable partners. We make sure that materials such as concrete, iron, copper, plastic, fiberglass from the blades and nacelle are reused or sent for recycling and do not end up as waste in nature. Instead, these components and materials will be used in other wind turbines or new products, saving resources. In this way, we contribute to a circular economy.
